We are delighted to be working on a number of Primary and Secondary School projects in London. The scope of our work is to develop design options on each school site for the addition of new classrooms, staff and admin, communal, social and ancillary areas, expansion of the school by up to 250 pupils, or in some instances a new masterplan for the entire site.
The existing sites have had small extensions over the years which deal with specific requirements at that time however do not provide a coherent masterplan for future development.
Our approach has been to review each school to ascertain what currently works and what can be improved, these proposals are then incorporated into the overall strategy. The designs not only answer the original brief but also include benefits for the existing infrastructure and in turn the running of each school.
Working closely with the council, planning authority, project manager, cost consultant and the schools themselves, we present options for review and discussion, this dialogue is on-going.
