In Spring 2011 we were commissioned to design a contemporary loft extension for a terraced house in Chiswick.
Design
Our client was keen to have an interesting extension rather than the normal lofts usually built. A metal clad room was designed with a timber and glass infill wall. The room contains a new bedroom and ensuite facing the park at the rear, with full height glass opening door and glass balustrade.
The timber blends well with the brickwork below, the Autumn leaves of the trees behind and adjacent red tiles extensions.
